FS Legal has received the highest accolade from Legal 500, the legal sector’s independent and authoritative directory of law firms and chambers, just five years after launching. The firm and its lawyers have been ranked as a Top Tier litigation firm in the newly launched Legal 500 2020 Edition.

Partners Kit Sorrell and Julia Norris, who jointly head the team, are marked out as “Elite Leading Lawyers,” with Kit having also been recognised in the Legal 500 Hall of Fame in the previous Edition.

Kit has been described as “a great tactician and inspires real confidence in his clients” and a “great tactician who knows how to plot the outcome of a case from the very outset.”

Julia has been given ‘leading individual’ status in this Edition and is referred to as a “brilliant lawyer and strategist.”

The 2020 Edition also sees two of the team pick up first rankings. Legal Director Christine Newton is recognised in both Commercial Litigation and Professional Negligence, having only recently returned to private practice after being In-House Counsel for Arrow XL until late 2018.

Senior Associate Nicola Stanley received her first recognition in Professional Negligence work as well as being ranked as a Legal 500 Rising Star.
